WHAT HAPPENS DURING WORSHIP SERVICES?

We meet to partake of the sacrament, which consists of bread and water which is blessed and passed to members of the congregation by priesthood holders. We sing uplifting hymns (hymn books are provided). Church members offer opening and closing prayers. We’re strengthened by inspiring messages offered by members of the church. Each congregation (called a ward) is overseen by an unpaid bishop and is supported by others who volunteer their time.

HOW LONG DOES CHURCH LAST?

Our primary worship service is called sacrament meeting, which is held in our chapels on Sunday and lasts approximately one hour. After sacrament meeting there are a variety of other age-appropriate meetings that you and your friends and family can attend. If you want to attend these additional meetings just ask someone for directions. Visit the Meetinghouse Locator to find the beginning time of the meeting you’re interested in attending. Please come and feel the Spirit during this sacred time. All are welcome.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE?

Simply enjoy the service as we learn of the Savior together.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Members of the church typically wear their Sunday best. Men usually wear suits or sport coats with shirts and ties, and women wear dresses or skirts. Most important is that you come, and feel comfortable.

DO I HAVE TO DONATE MONEY?

No. We don’t solicit donations or pass a collection plate.
